| It looks the business....and I have seen a few comments on another mini site that it is quite good.
I think the only thing stopping it from taking off really well is the fact that in most mini competitons, the rules stay along the lines of the tamiya kits, simply because it will also be the most affordable entry into RC racing. Maybe an outlaw class would welcome them. I might get one for the 'development ' mini, but the bottom line is that you need a Tamiya kit, throw away half of it and put this together... Tamiya mini's are also very rugged as they are, I am sure you have seen/heard us bouncing ours around on a Saturday evening, and they still keep on going. When these things break, a bit of after sales support will be needed, they dont look as tough. Plastic bends and absorbs crashes....all the alu on these will bend and crack,...
Personally, I love it, looks sleek and fun....might have to get one ...just because... |

| Nope, its fairly new, I saw the guys on RCTECH talking about it a few weeks back, no one seemed to know where they had come from ..... there was no info on them anywhere on the wb, then they suddenly appear on RCmart...
Does look good too.....reckon it will handle quite well on a nice clean track.....with no dust.. |

| this convertion is very interesting but will surely not be on the same level as the mini-mayhem stock racers lol only problem i see here is the open gear box, ive already wrecked a lot of gears and those were all sealed, what more damage will an open gear box do.. hmm we need a mod to seal those up so we can use it on our dusty parking lot track |

| Yeah, I would not use it against the stock mini's, but as a development platform... How have you bust up mini gears? Those things are pretty indestructible. The only one that could take strain in a normal mini, is if the pinion moves...the otherones should last a long time... On the Xevo, it could become a problem, but from what I can see, only a big stone could stuff it.....the bigger prob is the dust getting into any grease, but then it would be wiser to spray PTFE on them, let it dry and then run them....I like this chassis... |

| bust up a lot of gears from the evo not the minis lol but they are sealed! what i should get for the minis is a lot of wheel cup joints hehe those are the ones that usually bends when hitting the gutters and flying up high over those plates lol ill be waiting for this project of yours andy.. lets see if its worth giving up the stock class |

| Nah, I will never give up the stock class.....it's too much fun when everything is even!! The last few mini races that we have had have all been really fun, everyones skills are getting on the same level and it is cool to chase the corners and keep it nice and close..
I think the Perilous Pickup needs some weight in the right places, some minor steering mods and it will be perfect....no need for aluminium bits that will just bend anyway... |

| then i think i would need to buy new parts for the xevo mod if im gonna get one.. so that my m03 would remain stock the last run i had with the minis was bad, wasnt able to catch up with you guys.. discovered one of my dampers were leaking cause the lower cap break off. fixed it and lets see if it runs well this weekend. plus i need new tires!!! |

| I ran an fully open gear box off road buggy for years and did not have any problems. It used to spit a stone out the back occasionally, but didn't slow it down at all. It was a fully belt drive machine though, no gears, but I would not worry too much. Anyway what's a set of gears cost..... bout 9$ or something isn't it.
By the way, I've missed a few weeks but should make it on Sat...... |
