Next Al Ain trip 9 April 2010?

Right, so the excitement of Automodex is over and its time to start planning the next trip to Al Ain.

I know we had a lot of breakages at Automodex and the guys are needing to order spares online etc.....so i would suggest we aim for the 9th April, that should give everyone enough time to get their cars ready.

Let me know if you guys are happy with the date, if not please suggest alternatives! hurray

We're on for Friday 9 April 2010 - 8 AM in AL AIN

Its an early start so we need to leave Area 2 by 6:30am latest

First morning session.
Then when it becomes too hot, either a siesta or go to (Al Ain) mall to cool down and get some refreshments.
At 16:00, the second session.

what time will the night session finish? To be honest im not fussed ill have minor problems with both timings. Early morning will be accompanied by a hang over, later session will mean rushing to get back to Dubai to DJ. But both are only small problems that i can deal with

GOOD NEWS ...... just came off the track ...... hobby centre al ain did do as promised ..... they have put a guy to do maintenance and support there to make sure that the track is free of stones etc etc .....

BETTER NEWS ....... @bandit..... they threw away the bricks you placed there but instead added an elevated wooden flooring in the drivers stand for the vertically challenged .....

BEST NEWS ....... the FLOOD LIGHTS do work complete with drivers stand lights as well ...... the TRACK looked fantastic at night ...... NIGHT RACING ANYONE? ......

I was doing solo there and the improvements are very much noticeable ....... i even had access to the air compressor after my runs .....

BAD NEWS ..... my mini needs new tires and i just missed out ordering them along with my F109 in the last JJ Batch purchase ......

mister-e, i like your idea, racing then malling then racing.

OR... since bandit will be in al ain... we can do thirstday there then proceed to the track afterwards driving

Would be great if we can use the lap timing system as well!!!
Then we can re-live the "Automodex" competition spirit.

I'll try to awake my rear wheel drive mini (Alfa) and drive along.

I think for the size of the track, sport tuned motors are good bounce

the silvercan just isnt enough for the al ain track .... sports tuned will give a little more mayhem for the minis ....
