would be safer to bin it.....completely discharging them changes the chemical composition, they could become unstable and inability to accept a charge could lead to fire...

As much as I know Reck is an experienced RC hobbyist, and this may have worked for him once, it does not mean it will work on all cells. Please be careful.

I have had 2 Yeah racing lipo's go below minimum charge, and both have survived to charge again, but I didnt let them go completely flat, they went down to about 5.4V combined...I keep a wary eye on them when charging..

The yeah racing voltage buzzers we are all using don't see very reliable, I am sure I have taken my lipos below the threshold without the buzzer sounding, anyone else having this problem ?

Yeah, I have had the same, and the simple solution in the one that was doing it, was to spray its insides with electrical cleaner, seems ok now. I am not a fan of the buzzers though. I will try where possible to use the Spektrum Telemetry Rx on some cars, and the Hobbywing Lipo checker on the BL....

your solution:

NOVAK Smart Stop

have it on our tourer, works fine, connect power ends to the batt connector, connect esc to circuitry and from circuitry to your rx. . . and your good to go. . . a lot of wires on the kit though. warning blue light blinks when battery voltage is low, and auto shuts esc if battery has reach specified voltage cutt-off (6.6v i think). . .

Might there have been a wrong connection to the buzzer?

I've drained my Li-Po batts before as well.. But after "hot-wiring", they were revived.. Thanks to josh and reck.. I was able to use them for a long time before they went out..
One just won't charge anymore and one had swollen and had to be binned..

Try hot-wiring them. Just make sure you don't leave them unattended.. neutral

And where are you man? It's been a long while since you've gone to the meets..
Where are the other guys?
