Post2010 Mini SSS - Super Summer Series

A

ITS ALL OVER!!! We have endured the summer heat, and the best team has prevailed!!

A BIG CHEER TO TEAM JJ DUBSHOP!!!!

I have put all the driver points and team points down for you to reflect on. Bear in mind that some of the non-regular points are a bit skewed, there were some stand-in drivers during the season.

Congratulations to the top three drivers
1st - Eathan
2nd - Ian
3rd - Andy

And a really good effort to everyone.

I will make a few personal commendations to Lance for most improved driver (even without his 'special' motor laughing ) and to Jon & Bong for consistancy throughout the event. Both managed to get in the points a few times, and were unlucky not to qualify for some of the finals but both of them contributed points that boosted their teams chances of competing. Unfortunatelyfor some teams, work intefered with participation, and Dan, Duane and most notably Jay were not able to attend, but when they were there, were in the running. Also, Eric would have been a thorn in our sides had he not been transferred to Thailand, but I am pretty sure he is getting his RC fix there....

Now what are we going to do each week????

Greg, the concept of only 12 registrations per week is to keep each session short on a Sat afternoon, that coupled with the fact that the software works best with the eval version onf 5 cars per race. Realistically we will only get around 8 persons every week so we could run 2 heats, 3 rounds and be done in 40 mins...

I was really only joking. But i'd love to 15 mini on our little track all at once. That would really be mayhem.

Realised you were joking, but it would be humour to see that many mini's going mental

Hi,
Whats the name of the timing system ? or is there a web site with info ? I used to be able to knock out software in my sleep,

The software that comes with the system is not his software. He basically packages different types.....

LapsFree is one and the one I am using is rcscoring pro...www.rcscoringpro.com

Hi,
To write our own software I would need to know more about the hardware rather than the software we are currently using. Does the hardware guy have a web site or did he supply a cd or something that you have to install before the actual lap counting software ?

There was a CD, but I believe the drivers are built into the application software. There is no real need to re-invent the wheel though, the software works well in the 5 car limited version.....I suspect that the 20 car version that was 'donated' to me needs a little tweaking but then since it was free, I doubt I will get much support.....so will stick to the current setup.
More important now is to get other people to learn how to use it...

I will get my M05 tonight, so I have a my own kit now...

Who's looking for a team member?

wooohoo!

Right on, we are at 17 drivers now.....one more and we have 6 teams of 3 people! That is cool!

Lets get one more in.....where is Jay? Hope all is well......

OK, so this week we will not have a season race, they only start the first weekend of May, so all well, the week after next. I will be down there this week from about 4:30 and will bring the lap timing gear so we can have a few test runs and enter all the right details. Let me know who is coming down so that I can start teaching the software details...

Please start planning the teams and make sure you can get a sticker or design that you can add to yuur cars to make them identifiable as a team car. I know lots of you have spent money and time decorating your rides, so you dont need a new shell, but at lease a sticker or two so we know which teams are present...

I am going to be looking for a reliable team, will be keeping an eye out for good drivers..(to carry me because I suck) laughing
