i just would like to know how often do you need to change the tires on the M05 ??? from what i heard,once every 10 runs i guess,is that true.And how much does it cost for the tires

If you swap fronts to the back and backs to the front every few runs this will help them last as its the fronts that get worn out.

The tamiya kit tyres loose thier tread very quickly although you can carry on using them long after the tread has gone. Other than that, between us we are using just about every mini tyre out there, I can't say whether there are any that last better than others, maybe someone else can ?

Prices are between 10 and 40 dollars for 4 tyres with wheels. This isnt as bad as it sounds as like I said before its only the fronts that wear out so you can use a set of 4 tyres to just replace the fronts twice, this should get you a lot of runs for not some much money.

Simple answer.

Ride 35 Degree's, in rcmart search, just type 3035. US$12 for two, but a set of 4 tires, and a spare set of 4. That is all you will need for 6 months. The RIDE rims at US$5 for 8 is all you need for the above tires.


Anything else you want to experiment with is up to you..

a new set of ride or tamiya tires will be good for 4-6 months if you run them for 45min to 1 hour every 3 weeks .......

the summer heat does make the tires wear out a bit faster though ......

another factor would be the track youd be running your tires on ...
