PostSubject: HPI and Yokomo Body Shell 190mm   Thu May 13, 2010 11:03 am

Hi,

Anyone tried HPI and Yokomo Body Shells 190mm for TB-03D? Will it fit properly on the TB-03D Chasis..?

HPI Body Only

http://www.rc-race-and-drift-japan.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=91_92&products_id=1648

HPI Body Kit Only

http://www.rc-race-and-drift-japan.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=91_92&products_id=1650

If you combine HPI Body with that Body Kit it looks an FD3s with RE-Amemiya Body Kit.. I like it but, it wll be expensive...

or

Yokomo

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-190mm-yokomo-drift-body-amemiya-sdreabs-p-20501.html

This FD3s body is already RE-Amemiya Body Kit...

I guess i'm really a fan of FD3s.... laughing

As far as I know, as long as your chassis and body are 1/10 in scale (touring or drift) there should be no problem with the fitting.

Maybe a little difference in wheelbase but it can be adjusted with your TB-03D.

And your wheel offset too depending on the chassis' width.

With your TB-03D, I'd recommend Yokomo's rims which are 4mm offset or HPI's 3mm offset wheels with a 4mm hexagonal wheel hub.

Here's a few pointers for choosing a brand of shell.

HPI - Very thin....but cheap.
Yokomo - Durable...you get what you pay for.

Personally, I'd go for the Yokomo.

i agree

iuse a tamiya shell on a yokomo chassis and without adjusting the wheelbase the fit is perfect, i use 4mm offset wheels too.

and if you're a fan of fd3s then get the yokomo body shell

Thanks Guys..

@lancelot, I'll take your advice on the rims... smile

@josh, strawb, I would go for yokomo body aswell... durability is important to protect the chassis, that's it's purpose... thumbs_up

@bong, This Yokomo Body you post is what i'm looking for... Perfect 2thumbsup

What type of rims is it?

What Tamiya Paint# will be perfect for the body and Rims.?
