i think we have to stick on the same sched this week end on that covered area. But we have to coordinate 1st to the office whose taking care of the area today or tommorow for us to have a fix location this saturday what do you think?

I will help arrange it for you....I am trying to negotiate with him for better rates for indoors....I will ask him this evening what the B/ball court costs, but he is a simple man, so lets not crowd him with multiple requests.....but I reckon I can get it for nothing.

the covered basketball, is that the one near GULFnews? if it's that the basketball court near GULFnews, it is FREE!!! i already played in that court, and we done our basketball practice there before!!! it is FREE!!!

I was down there earlier and I can say that it is bad news for tourers and mini's, there is no grip.

BUT

although I had no drift tires it should be great for drifters....

I was using normal mini tires, so it might be worth looking at different compounds for some grip, but I am not certain.

As soon as the manager confirms, I will let you know about the outside court...

Well people...not good news. Spoke to the guy this afternoon and he says that the hall is booked EVERY Saturday afternoon until next year. Apparently some gym coaching goes on there....so rule that out for now.

The outdoor baskeball court is AED100 an hour as well!! I aksed if he was crazy, there is no AC but he insists that because it is covered, and the facilities are the same...the price is the same!! I dont know how these people arrive at this logic, really I dont...

So I would recommend that those parking areas behind the hall that I showed on the map, would be a good place to ride....there are no pay and display things and they are part of schools.....which are away at the moment...

This is really starting to Pi$$ me off that we cannot find a simple venue to do this.....we are not taking/selling/abusing drugs, we are not robbing/stealing/murdering so what the hell is the problem.

If you are all keen, I will try to meet you there on Saturday, but will probably only get down there after 5pm....

I am really sorry that I cannot do more at the moment, but I will keep trying until somebody arrests me.... :pale:

i think most of us are excited going to AUH tomorrow. meeting time is at 4:30am. waaa! :affraid: hopefully we get there early so there will be more sliding time with the AUH drifters.

about that covered court... if its 100, then we'll just have to go with the A/C... i know theres no logic to there lame excuse. and even they have good excuse, we still cant use it until next year.

so we'll just have to use the parking lot next to the school then until we find a suitable place to play our hobbies.
