| Getting bored........though this would be an interesting Mutant Mini project. -One base FF-02 bought over Ebay. - Tamiya Gerar set.- -Yeah Racing ball bearings -HPI 5 star rims -Hollow carbon shafts. - Yeah racing aluminum hex -Triniti brushed 11 Turn motor -Novak Dually ESC After the removal of the link piece. Like the 20" rims look on the mini. Why do this.....? Because i have the parts lying around anyways. Coming to a track near you soon................ |

| That seriously can't be a coincidence that by removing the centre link it then has the same wheel base as a mini , that just seems too easy a conversion |

| Yup.........i actually though about this long time ago. Was loking for a FF02 chassis. Spare are still available inplenty. With the wider track , 1/10 scale gearing & std wheels i think you could go with a more seriour motor than you cound ever with a std mini. The wheel base is spot on! |

| Thats because the FF02 chassis parts are exactly the same as a M03M, the only real difference is the wider arms on the FF02 that give it the wider stance...I am not sure about the gearing though, is the the same as mini gears? Naturally using the touring car tires would give it a different final drive, one that is better than a std mini. You would of course not be allowed to run that in a mini event though... ..unless you put mini wheels on it... |

| The touring car wheel only look good on the 'bigger' M-Chassis cars, like the swift and the new minis, they look obscure on the small mini's. Before there were so many mini enthusiasts in Dubai, I tested out my old swift with some tamiya touring tires and wheels, there was no real difference in the cornering, and at the area 2 track, not a lot of advantage with the twisty turns that track had. The acceleration was terrible and not worht it.....that was before Sorex. With good tires, you would get a major advantage and on the Meydan track, those long straights would get eaten up VERY quickly.
I agree that the swift in particular looks a lot better with larger wheels, and I suspect the Abarth would too... |

| Agree Andy. The larger track will allow the chassis to be more stable with more power. Hope to get it running for the weekend. Plan to open the swift arches big time- mad max style! It's a mutant after all.... |
