counter steer mods on TA05 ver.2

hello guys, does ta05 vdf and ta05 ver.2 have the same specs on pulleys?
i'm having a hard time searching for countersteer mod on my ta05 ver.2. all i see is ta05 only.
anyone can help me?
countersteer is my next project very happy

Hi JC..

HERE is what I've done with my ta-o5 v2 before.. very happy

You can use:

Sakura Zero's 22T center pulley
Tamiya TA-05's 16T center pulley or better get the Center One-way for v2: Tamiya 53952
Square 40T Front Diff Pulley
Square 30T Rear Pulley

A combo of 40/16 and 22/30 will give you a 1.83 ratio.

countersteer is my next project very happy

V2 has 37 on diffs, 18 in middle & 114 belts.

V1 is 36 diffs, mostly 16 middles & 113 belts.

VDF has 36 diffs, 18 on layshaft & unique belts.

For a good range of Ratio options for v2 go buy
Square's STA100 pack
(30 & 40 for balldiff, 16/18/20 centres & 2 belts)
and add a 113T v1 belt.

If u run oneway or spool, you can either hack the
balldiff pulleys wider or buy special pulleys.
Square makes them now too.

32t pulley comes from TA04 balldiff only is handy also.

They have lots of parts for the v2 and at 87 USD+ shipping, you can turn your v2 to a VDF.. thumbs_up

Be careful on this, broadtech says it's for genuine VDF not their Eagle GRT.

Have VDF, Fijon MDF & Eagle GRT - all the belts are different & uninterchangeable.

For STD V2 chassis easiest to buy Square STA100 pack
and add a V1 belt, TA04 32t pulley.

There are many DIY mods to increase steering lock.

You'll lose out on "forward motor (mass)" though
which is the reason for VDF's existence.

buy the conversion kit of the vdf? and buy the pulleys?

the best decision would be to set up your ta05 for touring and get a proper drift kit which is already designed for countersteer and with available pulleys from the same manufacturer, no more conversions... like the uhhmmm, OTA R31 smile

Your budget will decide wink

if you have budget go for VDF conversion thumbs_up

if budget is less go for pulley conversion only 2thumbsup

STA100 is the first CS set Square released, it is for v1 with 2 balldiffs.

To use on v2's diffs u need to buy smaller (TA04) diff plates.

Can fit 30t on spool with surgery, quite delicate cut though.

I have a 40T diff pulley from square and a 16T center pulley from ta-o5v1. Willing to let go for 50 Dhs if you're willing. From what I remember, the stock belt is just fine.

You just need to get a 22T Sakura Zero center pulley and a Square 30T pulley. And just like Tamiya said, you'll need to do some drilling to make it fit the Solid axle.
You may need v1 belts which are available in T&U.
