PostSubject: Hi Everyone !   Tue May 03, 2011 2:37 am

Its been 10 years since I got into RC. My son is now 7 and I thought of getting him introduced to the hobby. So I've been dusting off my old but not much used equipment.

Great to see an active and vibrant RC forum !

I'm not much of a racer (after creek park shut, didnt know of any other onroad tracks) BUT I love building kits and have quite an assortment of cars.

- X Ray T1R (hardly used) & Novak Brushless (Protoform Mazda )
- Kyosho V1S ( Castrol NSX) -nitro
- Kyosho TR 15 - nitro buggy (my 1st RC vehicle !)
- Tamiya TB 02 (Subaru Impreza)
- Tamiya FF 01 (New Beetle)
- Tamiya ML 04 (Honda S2000)
- Kyosho Mini inferno
- X Ray MT 18 Brushless (hummer)
- Kyosho MR 02 (Mclaren F1)
- Kyosho mini z- F1
- Kyosho min Z AWD ( Lancer Evo )
- HPI micro RS4 ( BMW M3) - which I love
- Kyosho Pureten GSX (Impreza) nitro - ( which I need to sell cheap !)
- Unbuilt - Tamiya Pajero (metaltop) CC 01 kit - ( might sell )

As part of the "fever" that got me back into the hobby, I've got a TB 03 (GTR) and FF 03 kit waiting to be built, last of the hopups on the way.

Am also finally taking the plunge and moving all my cars to 2.4 Ghz and cutting down on the ridiculous no. of transmitters i have around.

I also have a smattering of other RC stuff (mini helicopters, Kyosho Yacht, Kyosho Mini Z formula boat, RC tanks, Kyosho Minium Cessna plane )

In the years that I wasnt very active with my RC stuff, I got into 1:18 car collection, 1:400 diecast ariplanes , HO and N scale trains )

Hope to meet you all sometime !

Yeah. Have an unpainted Lambo body for it as well. Maybe someday..... I'll actually finish it ! I have huge old electronics (std servo, ancient Futaba speed control, large receiver ) that weigh a ton - but they seem to plant the car well, esp over the rear. Motor is HPI modified running on Team Orion NiMH with super grip tyres - all else is stock.

sure you can! you have a long list of collection there and an additional crawler kit would not empty your wallet smile

It's not as expensive as you might think. . . .more or less the same as other RC's. . .
you just need to get the basic comp crawler "kit" for now. . . . with a few mandatory hop-ups and go from there. . . or you may want to go wild, buy part by part, and build your own rig. . .. . whichever way. . . just as long as you try out this RC genre. . . it's quite interesting and fun. .

You may want to come along with us in our crawl sessions, we'll let you test out our rigs. . . .

or if you like, i'm letting go of one of my rigs. . . . too many rigs to maintain is what's putting holes in my pockets. . . let me know. . .

cheers

Welcome back to the the sport Mr Dpo!

For touring mayhem meydan is the place every saturday afternoon and for drifting sessions its at area2 Moven pick area. For a proper track we sometimes travel to al ain and spend the whole day racing with the mini's and gt's.

Hope to see more of you around!
