Please join our facebook group "Muscat RC Speedway" to keep up to date and see pics of the venue!

If you fancy a trip down to Muscat, Oman this weekend and have an electric 1/10th on road car then feel free to join in! We have an AMBrc MyLaps pro timing system and the track is beautiful, flows very well and was built with consultation from some of Europe's top racers.

I see in some photo you are painting the track surface.
What do you use?

Am planning a trip to Muscat sometime in the next month or so.
Are you having regular race meeting from now on, would love to visit for a session.

Hi,

We used Jotun water based grey paint for the floor, the main challenge is the dust which blows in from outside but we get the facilities staff at the centre to drive round on one of their little road sweeper/vaccuum machines before we race - bet he loves doing that!

We plan to have fortnightly race meetings. Keep an eye on the facebook page for a calendar after this weekend.

Had a look at the track, it's great marketing, lots of people stopping to watch and then heading around the corner to the shop to ask about buying a car.

I might take an m chasis with me next week.

Oddly, I can't access Dubdrift from Oman, it's then only site I couldn't access then whole week that I was there.

What class are you running. Is it just open class or are you running spec motors?

Whats the surface like. I assume you are running rubber tires and no foams?
Any setup tips for an out of towner dropping past for a race meet?

Do I need to buy a transponder, or are there some loan ones available for rent / loan?
