I've had this kit for awhile and i have been running it the way it was til i recently got re-hooked into Drifting!

So onto the re-build that is!

First challenge after installing the Tamiya FRP conversion was the battery holder .... the old 1996 technology didnt cater to the beefed up 5200mah lipos of today ....

Thanks to jebjeb and Jay for the odd off tree parts they had i was able to come up with this custom stock looking battery holder set-up

The OD pulleys were a pain to source out ..... but it had to be heavily modded to fit its purpose ....

this thing was crazy to drive ..... i switched bact to a 20T infront maintaining the 10T in the rear to have a 2.0FCD plus i added 3* of camber just to see how it would handle ....

Tamiya Hard white springs in front and 'ginnackle's' soft red springs in the rear with HPI 5wt shock oil ..





still a lot of practice ..... but its getting there

I'm back up 110% .... After testing the 20T front pulley ... I didn't feel that much difference which can't be tuned with the 21T ....

I'm gonna knock my head getting used to this ...

that is what you call "old school drifter with new school technology!"

speechless....



now try to get some tensioner pulley instead of using the old plastic bearing...

what about a 10teeth center pulley for the VDF???

back to my 03f

i switched back to the 21T up front to give me that 2.1FCD .... after switching to softer springs for the rear and adding more camber ..... i felt improvement in handling ....

i wish you can mass produce those 10t pulleys..you have a lot of people waiting...

Its really not that simple to get the pulleys ....plus it was a risk on my end that the T's won't match ....

My caliper skills did work out pretty ok

Having the tensioners under the belt or on the teeth wear it out fast and add more drag on the drive train
