+100000 sir! i've been racing here too with my mini, and to tell you, up to now i have a little bit problem on driving my mini, although i've won 1 throphy for my baby, we're using sport tuned motor for the race, and i know you're using silver can there. for the tires i've been using Super Grip 60D Radial, i've been using this quite a while, around 3 series, that means 9 qualifying, and 9 finals! but the tires are still a little bit good to use.

Bandit,

Yep, most of us are using silvercan, just to keep it simple, fair and affordable. In the future though, it would be nice to see an outlaw class (with some realistic limitations of course) at some point.
With regards to tires, as I mentioned previously, it has a LOT to do with driving style and the car's setup. Obviously you have managed to get yours to a decent level of ride stability.
I am not sure where you have raced before, but bear in mind we are parking lot racers and as such the 'track' is not the kind of surface you get much grip on....

I am a keen advocate of putting down some 'traction compund' (a.k.a coca-cola) to ad some grip in the corners, but I fear that as it is a municipal area, some govt. official will get his tits in a tangle and throw us out of our new venue.

Let's all share setup tips and tricks to try and get the best out of our mini's and HAVE FUN!!

silvercan motor is good atleast, not much speed unlike sportuned motors, but some guys here are having good silvercan motors, atleast 19000rpms for their silvercan almost as strong as the sport tuned motors, depends on how you break in your motor, and that's their secret. very happy, im a parking lot racer to very happy in dubai all parking lots are asphalt unlike here in philippines most of parking lots are concrete/pavements.
