| For those who have anything to say about offroading, please speak now! this thread is for anyone looking into advice or any ideas on offroading. i think we should start looking into that small offroad track available to us at area 2 and i'm willing to put it to good use! im thinking of getting back into EP offroading...... here are my options: TAMIYA HUMMER with 9T brushless motor TRAXXAS SLAYER converted to brushless power DURGA CHASSIS with 9T brushless motor ANY OTHER GOOD RECCOMENDATIONS? |

| when we clean up the track, we could use all the rocks to make a rock crawling course in the small patch of dirt in the middle of the parking lot while the dirt track would be behind where we all park for the meets............ |

| Hummer i dont know ???
Durga cannot handle brushless well it melts away the diffs i did with a 4600 mamba and stick packs itself.
THen i think the slayer wud be a good choice but converting it to brushless maybe quite an exp affair.
My suggestion is to get a slash, make that brushless which is not very exp, and put on sand paddles or buggy tires it does well. |

| I have a BL slash, and it does very well in the sand, but is even more fun on hard packed sand. Being 2WD you get some serious 'tail' out action. Even the drifters will appreciate how it slips sideways around corners. I put a Hobbywing/Yeah racing BL in it and it did ok, but that was a 9T, with the full size 5.5 it would be great. You do need LiPo though, they chomp through batteries very quickly.. |

| that sounds awsome, im lookin to get a new tamiya hummer and stick a 9T brushless in that, that would go crazy fast, but just as you said. they eat batteries. i say we should go forward with this offroad track |

| hummer, pajero, cayenne transsyberia, f350, land cruiser, etc... it would be cool to see those scalers in action, rally style, plus some evo and imprezza rally cars we can make ourselves a mini uae desert challenge |
