it's actually easy to paint the grill of the GT-R black 'coz Tamiya included it's masking for it.. yes, there is a pre-cut mask for the GT-R's grill but it has to be painted first before everything else.. with regards to painting the hood black, it's really up to you.. i had a GT-R too with the same color as Ryan's but it was full metallic red.. when i got bored with it, i covered the hood with matte black sticker and put tribal decals on it's side.. -mainly tamiya.. parma and pactra sorry mods, OT.. hehehe.. |

Lance, I've scanned the box, and i can't find any masks for the grill. There are stickers for it, but no masks =/ How much do PS paints cost in Dubai?

Abdul, the masks are usually in a packet with the other decals. It is a yellow page with the window masks on it.....I believe that bodyset has the 'smoked' window decal so their should be window masks as well....

huh?! when i got my GT-R, it was with a TT-01E kit as well.. i'm really sure that i've used the supplied masking for the grill.. anyways, you can try this.. after you apply the masking for the windows, head and tail lights, don't throw the remaining parts of the masking supplied.. cut them into strips and use them to mask the grill. then, just cover the other parts with a decent masking tape.. reason: the supplied masking works really great.. it really defines the edges.. my apologies ryan, your thread has now become a tutorial..

usually maskings for the grilles are not included.. they only provide them for the windows and lights.. but you can always use the supplied sticker for the grilles.. easier than to mask it with tape manually

Yeah, but unless I want to make the red darker on my GT-R, I will have to mask everything on the car except the grill = EXTREMELY LONG PROCESS. But If I want to make the red dark, I can make a mask on the grill and paint everything red, then remove the mask and paint the entire thing black. What's a better GT-R dark ps-15 or normal ps-15. Black backing = dark, no backing = normal
