| Hey everyone, Im kevin. Im a filipino from cebu and Im now in dubai visiting family.
I would like to ask where to buy good but yet cheap RC drift cars.
Ive been saving up for a long time and i think i can buy one now. Please tell me all local shops
which sell them..

Hobby Centre - Deira area along Maktoum Road before Honda Showroom
Toys & Us - Sheikh Zayed Rd, 1st Interchange, Sheikh Rashid Building 04-3432303
RC Pro et al. - Near Lamcy Plaza
Speed Hobbies - along Al Aweer Rd after Fruits and Veggie Market from Emirates Rd. 04-2896467, branch in Sharjah - no info :p
JJ Dubdrift Shop - online shopping through Jebolution and/or J.Drift - PM or e-mail them..
get your kit and let's get slidin'.. woooohoooo!

| thanks bro! yea! im going to buy one tomorrow.. me and my dad saw some in dragon mart and he wanted me to buy there.. but i said i dont want buy right away cause i really dont know these things yet.. is it safe to buy there? my dad said the prices in hobby centre is too much which they sell for 1800 aed the cheapest ones.. where are the cheapest ones located in those stores you mentioned? |

| @slicc why don't you buy the one that JDrift is selling all you need to add there is battery and you are ready to slide. and best lots of upgrades are already installed in that kit, and the kit is very fresh. buying that kit is the best way. im sure you will love that, not to mentioned the motor is brushless already. best buy.... |

| Suggestion only, if its your first time on RC drifting, it is best to opt for used ones at first. Not only a cheap option, but you also have a chance to learn and choose which options would you like to have in your drift car. |

| Welcome!
For a start, I would not recommend a car from Dragon Mart. Be aware that you WILL at some point break something, and if spares arent available, your precious RC car becomes a paperweight. I would stick with reputable brands like Tamiya, HPI etc...or even the Thunder Tiger stuff ..parts are easy to get, even if they are not in Dubai, you can ship them in.....different story with the 'no-name' brands.
The hobby costs money, and I hope your folks will encourage you to take part and support you if they have the means to.
As mentioned by the other guys, a second hand one might be a good idea as you will get your moneys worth, and there will be lots of people willing to help you with advice, repairs and spares where possible. |
