| Hey Guys i know that the traxxas slash 4x4 is not new news! but this is a great video of it in action! I'm still an off road guy at heart so this really gets me going! there is a huge power upgrade over the standard slash and sc10, just slap some sand paddle on and it will be pefect for the dunes! Check out the vid Slash 4x4 |

| They would probably be happy to get an SC10 in a trade in...and then burn it.
Exactly how does the 4x4 slash have more power? I have the Velineon 3500 in my 2WD slash...so whats different. If you asked me, it would be less powerful through drivetrain friction.....unless I am missing something here. Maybe they are comparing it to the old Slash that only issued with the TITAN 550 motor...?
Still, I really dislike buying RTR simply because it means I have Rx's and Tx's that I will never use......that is, of course, unless I can bind the traxxas Rx with my Spektrum....doubt it though... |

| Must have been compared to the original Slash with the 550 motor.....correct me if I am wrong but Velineon was a hop up and not standard on the Slash 2WD ? Anyway Slash 4x4 now shares a lot of parts with the E-revo so should be tougher and better handling than before, on the power side agree Slash 2wd with Velineon should be a bit more powerful. At least it comes with a 2.4 ghz radio... Hey if they give good money for the SC10, by all means let them burn it! Also someone needs to come up with an idea for unwanted/old RTR Rx's and Tx's they're like old cellphones.......useless |

| hey those old rx/tx are useful when youre selling some kits, include them as bonus lol. the velineon bl system on traxxas can handle 11.1 lipo thats why its so powerful, hmmm what would happen if you use that on a drifter??? _________________ |

| @bong dont know much about off-roading.. but that sure sounds powerful. if your gonna put one on a drifter maybe you can do backflips while drifting corners lol |

| The 3500 is a 3500Kv so revs wise on 7.4V you are talking about 25K rpm and on 11.1V about 37K rpm....it is a very torquey motor, so what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in 'grunt'. In a drifter I dont think you will have any problem breaking traction....
I have run 11.1V through my slash, and it is ok, the biggest problem is keeping the front wheels on the ground...it just wants to wheelie, so turning corners is a problem...
Not checked yet, but if the 4x4 slash has a center diff, it might eliminate some of that problem...and if it is a sealed diff, you could control the power flow with different viscosity fluids....that would be a bonus... |

| which is why i want to make some RAMPS!!!!
doesn't even need to be a full course, maybe some jumps and hairpin turns that all we need, shouldn't even be 30 mins of work if we get enough people |

| I think the sand patch in the middle of area 1 will be too small, but the are where the 'dozers are parked would be fine.... |
