AUTOMODEX 2010 RC CHALLENGE

Heads up guys!

were officially involve in the said event, DUBDRIFT and DEO will be working together to make the RC challenge a success.

we need everyones cooperation and support on this, we need drifters and racers to be part of this event. Abudrift Guys, we also need your support and cooperation, especially the offroad/onroad NITRO guys, technical information is greatly appreciated. More updates to come...

Mister-e,

Not sure about the nitro stuff, but I firmly believe that as an entry-level event, the rules will not be pushed to the limit....and I doubt there will be camera-finishes with squabbles over the 0.2V advantage of the LiPo or the 0.003 less drag co-efficient of the GT BMW vs the BMW 4-door saloon.

Bear in mind that this is going to be a FUN event, and is going to aid ALL RC enthusiasts, and hopefully see enough interest to get some facilities going, and later on....some organised events with PROPER rules.

In fact, I believe that the event organisers would be well advised to take some of the sponsorship money, and get 2 or 3 running cars to loan to people who would like to 'try' their hand at some RC racing....get them bitten by the bug....as there is no cure for the disease once bitten.

nice idea on the demo cars, maybe the exhibitors like HPI, tamiya etc can provide demo cars for guys to try there and then....it would be in there best interest anyway..... and that could be a quick way to get the sale for them.....

Yep, a guaranteed NO-LOSS option if you asked me. I would put good money on the fact that if they had 10 demo units there, they would all be sold at least at cost by the end of the event...

Kit them out with a Sport motor, radio, battery and a 25T spur and pinion upgrade....they will be gone - rapido!

not to mention how many new kits they could sell too...would easily offset the reduced cost of the demo cars...

Just another idea, i might be worth setting a second hand store for guys wanting to put their used gear on sale....

This year's event was a blast and we're hearing a second one for next year.
There is an event that maybe happening this October and we're hoping we'd be able to take part in it again.
