| Welcome to Al Ain ..... if you guys do decide to make a road trip here .... let me know so I can assist and meet up with you guys ..... we usually have nitro races here every fridays .....
even better is that across the drivers stand just parallel the on-road track is an off-road track for all you off-road junkies .....
holla at me

| We already had this on the list of 'things to do' but time has not been our friend....
A trip out there would be well worht it, but I would prefer it to be an 'organised' affair where we are guranteed to get some track time....even if we have to pay. I would not like to drive all the way out there to find that we are allowed 5 mins every hour to run around between nitro racing. A set agenda is needed.....and lunch....... |

| the Al AIn track is free to all RC Afficionados ..... any time of the day ...... No Track Time Fees .... you can burn rubber all day if your nitro or batteries would allow you to do so ..... Friday Nitro Races usually start at around 10am ish up til 2pm ish ..... but the guys there are track friendly ...... no worries
and there's tons of open space to set up a drift track as well ..... |

| Thats cool, but I would still like to have an organised event, and include the nitro guys if they want to get involved. Setting up the timing gear and having a raceday being the objective, like this: Round 1 Mini Mayhem - Heat 1 EP GT Mayhem - Heat 1 GP GT Mayhem - Heat 1 Mini Mayhem - Heat 2 EP GT Mayhem - Heat 2 GP GT Mayhem - Heat 2 Round 2 Mini Mayhem - Heat 1 EP GT Mayhem - Heat 1 GP GT Mayhem - Heat 1 Mini Mayhem - Heat 2 EP GT Mayhem - Heat 2 GP GT Mayhem - Heat 2 Finals Mini Mayhem - B Main EP GT Mayhem - B Main GP GT Mayhem - B main Mini Mayhem - A Main EP GT Mayhem - A Main GP GT Mayhem - A main BBQ. If there is no structure, then there is no point.....as soon as you get on the track with a mini, some 1/8th Nitro gets on and tears around.....we all stand and applaud and go home.... Can this sort of thing be done? or does it just become a free-for-all, willy-wagging session? |
