Doesnt seem like it vin, the more and more i read the guys keep talking about using FDR's of about 5.5, bearing in mind they are racing in much cooler conditions on better surfaced tracks etc.....I'm sure the motors perform well but I cant imagine then lasting very long using those FDR's....

Motor will overheat if it is a short twisty track....long straights, cooler outside temps and you can get away with it....but the brushes will arc a lot when labouring....so they will perish quickly and 'burn' the comm.

And on that note, I have a few 24 and 25T Robinson racing hard steel pinions if anyone wants, they are AED 24 each...

based on my experience, not much, we're racing and using 5.72 and still motors are not that much hot in 5minutes run.
