Guys, cant make it! The radio has been back on air as of 12 o'clock this afternoon. Not pleased as i only found out at 11:45.

Just a little note here to say that this past weekend, 24th April, saw some good mini action.

We had a turnout of about 10 mini's and were missing some 'Usual Suspects' so some new faces were taking up the challenge...

and judging by some of the comments in the SSS thread, we should be seeing the likes of

and a few others.....it is going to be an interesting season of mini racing. It wasnt hot enough to scare us off and we had light all the way until almost 7pm. I predict that as the summer draws nearer, this will change, so we should aim to get the driving in before 6pm to be consistent...

I won't be able to join you guys for another month or two. My exams will start soon, and my drivers on vacation too... So yeah...

Some may know me while others only recognize my TA05 Enzo that was battling it out with the minis several months ago at zaabeel

Well Andy tried to get me into getting into the Mini scene 'officially', by purchasing a mini but I was too heavily invested in offroad that I couldn't justify goin online and spending on one...but the other day while I was at Toys n Us I came across the M05 Mini Cooper...I just love that little Cooper and given that it was in stock right in front of me and quite affordable I just couldn't not take her home (p.s. if only our hobby stores were more supportive and stocked up, everyone would benefit...)

Well just wanted to say hello, and wanted to see when you folks are racing your minis as I'd like to join. Is the Mini SSS on? Do you meet every Saturday at 5pm without fail?

For those of you who have painted your Minis red, can you tell me what the colour code is please; Toys n Us only have Metallic Red (Tamiya PS 15 I think), and don't think its the red originally used on the Cooper. Thanks.

as for the mini, check JJ Dubshop. they are selling a NIB mini m05 S800 shell complete with motor and ESC plus full ball bearings and a set of 3racing tires.

Rockinro, if you just use PS15, the colour will be translucent. You're going to want to back it up with black, white, or silver. And the colour will be metallic too... Check the manual that comes with the body, they usually suggest which colour to use.

Oh, and you're going to need a team for the SSS. Pick me, pick me!

With regards to the paint, they should tell you in the manual which colour will make up the box art, and if it is not available at T&U, try speed hobbies, hobbies zone and HC, all of them have paint at the moment

Thanks for the responses. The color isn't mentioned in the manual, but luckily today T&U restocked on their paints and I snatched a PS-2 Red.

Will finish building the car and getting the radio gear sorted in the next few weeks (have some travelling to do ).

Will see you soon at one of your saturday meets, and you can bring me up to speed on the Mini SSS rules and Team sign up.

Spray paint, Acrylic paint, and a bunch of Tamiya kits like the M05, M05 Pro, TT03 drifters, and the latest F1 car (F104Pro?).

Also a bunch of Thunder Tiger kits (cars, boats, planes, and a submarine).
Ace electronics including Brushless motors (some with ESC combos).

No new Tamiya parts, nor tyres, nor Tamiya motors.

He said he ordered Sport Tuned motors but not to expect them for a while (a couple of months).
