| Wow guys...
I did say skill matters.
And is you're spending money, might as well spend a bit more and get a TA05. A TA05 is better than a TT01 out of the box anyday.
SKILLS ARE A DIFFERENT CASE...We're talking of kits here.

tt01 fails if the driver fails.. its as simple as that tt01 can beat any TRF anytime.. |

What's with the increasing amount of adult content? First on 2010 bashers thread, and now here...
AdBull. |
Sex Appeal - A term describing a person's physical appearance which has a critical impact on their physical attractiveness. This involves the impact of one's appearance has on the sense of sight.
Nothing adult here AB ..... it simple means ........ if you can't be good in drifting .... the best you could do is look good ..... its a simple term with no intentions of exploiting anyone ......
my first born child is 13 years old .... 1 year younger than you ..... if the people here are giving you tips ..... take it as positive criticism ....

Motor and gearing choice will determine top speed - a stock tt-01 is probably good for around 15-16mph....not very quick but fun...
stock motor with 25/58 (optional high speed gears) gearing is good for around 22-23mph
you can get much faster, but will need to upgrade other parts along the way.... |

| LOL....whenever there is a question from relative newbies....it is invariably about SPEED...those two guys that were down at the track yesterday?....same thing....what is the fastest they can go....and I am always tempted to say...
"Fast enough that you will not be able to control it"
The same applies here....
Speed does not impress me in the RC application, get around a track 5 times without stacking it, then I am impressed! |

| Skill does go a long way....
But some kits have limited adjustability that a driver may need in the future. Features (of a kit) also play a part in the overall output of the driver-kit tandem.
If you have overwhelming skills, your kit may seem like an extension of yourself. You can make quick and abrupt changes while driving at any given point of a match.
In DK Eathan's case, he was just blessed with god-like skills on the TT01. =)
Skill and experience (practice) play a big part. But I don't think it's fair to compare a pro with a TT01 to a newbie who just purchased a TRF. =/
