PostSubject: Mini shock absorbers   Thu Feb 18, 2010 12:06 pm

In the process of building my new Mini M05. Bought the Yeah racing metal shocks. What is the recommendation for the shock oil weight & the colour of spring?

I will be running stock can with NiMH battery.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but run it 'middle of the road' to start. I have TRF shocks, running 3-hole pistons, heavy oil (70wt) and softer springs in front...

works for me, and was the first combo I tried....

samaj,

what i have been told is to try the red springs (softest ones) all round to start, then uses a slightly lighter oil at the back as most the weight sits up front.....having a slightly softer setup at the back will help with traction

i'm gonna try this setup for tomorrow session and see how it works
