need your help guys... what do i need in building a crawler, have a basic chassis m1025 from tamiya, im planning to mod it. . .

I want to know the following:

1. Motor - how many turns do i need?

2. Gearing - can i use the stock ones?

3. Tires - which is best? but i need, not so BIG ones!!!

4. Servo - do i need a high torque for this one? or i can still use the standard one?

5. Suspension - whats suitable for my chassis?

as of know, i already dismantled the manta ray chassis (same as TA01, TA02), planning to replace it with either Lexan or Aluminum, (to have more ground clearance), and lock front and rear diffs to have more traction...

need all your input guys . . . thanks

* try to run it yesterday, and i almost coooked my stock motor * Evil or Very Mad

from the chassis your using. .. . . i guess you want to build a scaler crawler. . . .
i have a competition crawler and it's way different from a scaler . . . but i get all my infos
at rccrawler.com forums. You'll get all your questions answered from there. . .

or Andy could help you out coz he has an RC4WD trailfinder, and he's planning to build a
competition crawler also. . .

but anyways i've found a thread in rccrawler forum about a hummer build. hope this helps.

(if you can't see the images, just register in the forum)

goodluck in your build, and happy crawling
